Undergraduate Academics
Undergraduate Program
The University of Michigan has one of the best undergraduate astronomy programs in the country. Both a major and a minor in astronomy is offered. Details about the programs including the requirements, contact information, and what to do with a BS in astronomy are on the major page.
If you are considering an Astronomy concentration, then read a letter to prospective students that describes the program (download Adobe Acrobat Reader to read the letter).
Any further questions can be directed to: Joel Bregman the current undergraduate advisor in the Astronomy Department.
Course Information
Descriptions of all the undergraduate courses in astronomy is available on the courses page. You can also get descriptions and information from the LSA Course Guide. Log in to Wolverine Access to register.
Activities for the intro level discussions and labs are on the online labs page.

Plagiarism
Plagiarism is representing someone else's ideas, words, statements or other works as one's own without proper acknowledgment or citation. This includes copying material in whole or part from your textbooks or the internet. Visit our plagiarism reference page for resources including examples and the official LS&A policy on plagiarism.
Grade Grievances
Whenever possible, disagreements over grades should be worked out between the student and instructor. However, if a disagreement over a grade occurs and the student and instructor cannot come to an agreement, the student has the right to appeal to the department. Details including the circumstances under which grade appeals are heard are at http://www.astro.lsa.umich.edu/Academics/grievance.php or at http://www.lsa.umich.edu/umich/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=4eb667519b60a110VgnVCM100000a3b1d38dRCRD&vgnextchannel=39ae928e13179110VgnVCM10000096b1d38dRCRD&vgnextfmt=default.
