March 9th: Introduction to Astrobiology:  The Search for Life in the Universe

Prof. Bergin will examine the ultimate origin of life's ingredients. He will also discuss how astronomers are actively searching for life in our own  solar system and beginning a process of detecting new worlds that might potentially harbor extra-terrestrial life.

After the lecture, at 9:00, the Student Astronomical Society will hold a free open house including telescopic viewing from the Angell Hall observatory and planetarium shows on the third floor of Angell Hall. For more information click here.
