

TOGS and
TOGS (Turn On GALFA Survey) covers the majority of the Arecibo sky with commensal drift scan observations. (See sky coverage link below.) It is part of the GALFA-HI Survey (Galactic Arecibo L-band Feed Array HI Survey) which will map the Galaxy, Galactic Halo, and Local Group (+/- 700 km/s) over the entire Arecibo sky (Decl. -1 to +38 deg)
with a resolution of 3.5' and 0.2 km/s. (See also the Arecibo GALFA page.) TOGS offers up to 5 times the sensitivity
of previous surveys at much better spatial and kinematic resolution.
